Nomination for Scholarship for Tobacco Cessation Course

Tobacco cessation is complex intervention. It needs deep understanding, learning and practicing the intricacies of tobacco cessation intervention. ICanCaRe has pioneered and created a simplified digital based tobacco cessation protocol intervention system. We conduct courses in tobacco cessation and help setup or scale up tobacco cessation practice.

Through a grant received from Bajaj Electricals Foundation, we are happy to announce Scholarship for the courses to faculty/doctor who are ready to practice and setup tobacco cessation and Oral care centres in hospital/institution/clinic. The purpose of the scholarship is to promote tobacco cessation practice in a protocol based digitalized intervention model to ensure results.

Total Duration:	8 Hours (2 Hrs weekly)
Training Period:	4 Weeks
Course Fees:	Rs. 9000/-

Purpose – To popularise Tobacco Cessation – Digitalised protocol-based intervention to ensure results for their clients.

Subscription to ICanCaRe Tobacco Cessation and Oral Screening APP at 50% cost for first year.
Support or Set ICanCaRe Oral Care and Tobacco Centre in their hospital.
Guidance for networking and community intervention for tobacco cessation and oral screening.

Eligibility:

Faculty from any Medical or Dental Institution or Hospital – from any discipline on recommendation by the Institution head.
Individual doctors having own practice
Member of following Association – IDA, FHNO, IASO, cardiology, pulmonology, Gynaecologists, oral pathology, oral surgeons, community dentistry or community medicine, oral medicine and radiology, oral periodontics, psychologists
Students are not eligible.
Through Institutions/Hospitals who are ready to start or upgrade tobacco Cessation Program with ICanCaRe Digital model.
- Recommendation has to come from the head of the Institution.
- Maximum 2 from Each Institutions
- The Scholarship is for faculty from any discipline only. Students are not eligible for this scholarship.
Any individual faculty applying for the Scholarship will have to forward the same from the Head of the Institution.
Recommendation by CTCS will be given extra weightage.
Individual having own practice have to give a self-declaration.

Criteria for selection:

Those Institution who has a Tobacco Cessation program and wish to upgrade.
The faculty who are supported by the Institution for establishing the Tobacco Cessation Intervention centre.
The Individual candidates who have the potential to set up and practice digitalized tobacco cessation.
The selection committee will have the full discretion to grant the scholarship or reject the application without giving any reasons.

Only selected candidates would be informed through E-mail.
Once selected you would be required to fill the course registration form. The link shall be shared on mail with approved applications.

Steps following selection: Mandatorily to be followed

Fill the Course Application with Submission of required documents
Subscription to ICanCaRe APP
The candidate would be assigned a batch. Each batch is of 4 classes. Classes would be held online on Saturday Evening 6:30 – 8:30 PM
Attend the Course Online/Offline the dates would be announced by ICanCaRe.
Compulsory attendance for all the classes. The camera has to be on through the class.
Assignments to be completed. Assessment shall be on the last day.
Certificate to successful candidates sent to the Institution Head/Individual.
