Batch 1: Tobacco Cessation Specialist
ICanCaRe affiliated to Gujarat University conducted its first batch of Certified Tobacco Cessation Specialist Course on 14th - 15th June, 2019 at Max Hospital Vaishali. A team of 8 enthusiastic doctors were awarded certificates.
World No Tobacco Day 31 May 2019
Awareness Program was conducted on World No Tobacco Day at NTPC Unchahar. Dr. A K Tripathy, CGM graced the event. pledge to make NTPC Unchahar Tobacco free & acknowledged to start an ICanCaRe Tobacco Wellness Center.
Doctor Sensitization Program
ICanCaRe conducted a Doctor Sensitization Program on Tobacco on 24th April, 2019 at Max Hospital, Vaishali creating an awareness about the importance of cessation. The doctors welcomed the move to start a tobacco wellness center within the hospital premises.
Breast Cancer Screening Camp
Breast Cancer Screening Camp was organized in Jivan Jyoti Hospital, NTPC Unchahar on 31st March, 2019. Around 132 women were screened of with 7 were recommended for advanced screening. Renowned gynecologist Dr. Priya Ganesh lead the team.
Oral Cancer Screening Camp
An Oral Cancer Screening Camp was organized at Jeevan Jyoti Chikitsalaya at NTPC Unchahar on 30th March, 2019. Over 100 community people were screened for oral cancer with more than 40% admitted to taking tobacco.
CME Program NTPC Unchahar
ICanCaRe conducted CME Program for doctors, medical staff of Jeevan Jyoti Chikitshalaya, NTPC Unchahar on 29th March, 2019. A highly interactive session with over 50 participants.
Cancer Awareness Program
A Cancer Awareness Program at DAV Auditorium, NTPC Unchahar on 29th March, 2019. Over 200 community people actively participated to gain knowledge on cancer, its signs & symptoms and on its prevention.
SMC Session NTPC Unchahar
A SMC Sensitization session on Cancer and Tobacco was conducted at NTPC unchahar on 29th March 2019 to discuss to make NTPC Unchahar Tobacco Free CMO Dr. N M Singh assured to continue to work in making the institute tobacco free.
Launch of Tobacco Wellness Center
ICanCaRe in collaboration with Noida Medicare Center(NMC) Hospital Noida, launched its first smart tobacco wellness center equipped with modern day instruments on 4th February, 2019.
